"Athena!" he said with a smile, hugging me like a lost daughter. "I'm so glad you came." He motioned me to the back, to the dressing area and handed me several packages. "Try this one first."
I shut the door and opened the box. A lovely white dress sat inside. I slipped it on then carefully laced on the sandals. I smiled as I assembled the rest of the outfit.
"Are you sure this wasn't meant for one of your other customers?" I asked.
"What? Oh no! These aren't White Owl costumes. They're for Hallowe'en." Mr Wickershams thick highland burr rumbled.
"Of course! She's an archaeologist and a heroine! Just like someone else I know." He looked at me anxiously. "D'ye like it?"
"I do! It seems a bit short though."
"Ach, I k'n take care o' that right eno."
Well before I say yes to the dress, let's see what's in those other boxes."
(Just playing with ideas for Halloween--and what should Athena wear. I'm also open to suggestions--just keep it clean)
To be continued here...
Too short? NAH, not when you have the great pair of legs you do, Miss Athena.
I feel this would make a GREAT costume for you.
However, to be complete, you would have to go out and rent a trained raven.
Superb work as always, Miss Athena.
